Thanks for visiting my site. My intention is to introduce myself and what I might be able to do for you in the space planning and office space planning venues.

Balancing creativity, practical concern and retail brand essence is an enjoyable challenge; it’s like a multi-faceted puzzle with several possible pictures that can be displayed.

The big questions are: Which has the best picture for a consumer to experience the brand in retailing... or what is the most efficient in office layouts?

MY HISTORY

I have been in the Retail Design and Planning field for over 25 years as a Space Planner, laying out store circulation, departmental adjacencies and fixture plans while working with an Interior Designer and other team members. I have also been the Design Intent Documentation Specialist for most of the stores I have planned along with taking concept stores that have been created to the detailing phase ensuring the design intent is communicated properly. I have had projects in twenty different countries, twelve of which I have visited. My work includes retail venues in department stores, discount department stores, specialty, hardlines and softlines stores, shop-in-shop concepts, hypermarts, grocery stores, manufactures in-line presentations, banks, financial institutions, auto dealerships, strip centers and malls. In these venues I have been involved in creating flagship stores, prototypes, rollouts, remodels, refreshes and mockups.

Within the categories listed above I have worked with national and international companies along with smaller local stores just starting up.

Some of the more recognizable retailers I have worked for as an employee of a design firm or as a freelancer are: Sears, Wal-Mart, CVS, Auto Zone, Microsoft, Kinko’s, Kroger, Diebold, Toys-r-Us, Nike, Exxon, Kids Foot Locker, La-z-Boy, K Mart, Kodak, Huntington Bank, Dime Bank, Select Comfort, Ace Hardware, Bank of America, Sprit, Taco Bell, L.G. Mart, Office Depot, Sports Authority, Michelin Tire, J.C. Penney, Macy’s Target, New Balance, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Circuit City.

From the office planning side I have managed two relocations for a 120 employee company, as well as office space planning and move management for a moving company.
